Mariluz likes to define herself as a bridge between Madrid and Barcelona. Born and raised in Madrid, she moved to Barcelona after college to study International Relations. What she likes the most about Barcelona is that it is a walkable city, with a boundless culture, and very close to nice beaches and mountains. She has also lived in the UK, France, Germany and Mexico. 

She graduated in Law and Political Science and has extensive experience as project manager in international organizations, foreign diplomatic missions and social-economy startups. Mariluz is very interested in education and history, and likes to introduce local traditions and art to students and tourists. In her free time, she enjoys doing outdoor activities like biking or hiking. She also loves live music, backpacking, and Mexican food.

Mariluz is certain that a study abroad experience is a turning point in anyone's personal experience. That is why she loves to work with American students and pave the way for them to leave their comfort zone.
